OUR ORCHARD

Gamma Vkusa has a 200-hectare growing area for apples, red and black currants, strawberries, potatoes, carrots, beetroot, dill and parsley.

Our specialists carefully select seed varieties of pumpkin and carrots suitable for baby food, considering their taste, colour and physical and chemical characteristics.

For example, courgettes are grown in a dedicated field and weeded by hand to avoid chemical treatment. When planting the apple orchard and berry bushes, we selected varieties for their taste.

Every year we:
Select seeds carefully
We work with Belarusian and international suppliers, testing seeds and conducting trial plantings.
Prune the orchard and plant vegetables
Our gardeners prune trees and berry bushes by hand in winter, and plant vegetables in spring.
Care for, water and weed the crops
In summer, we weed our crops using machinery and by hand; courgettes are weeded manually.
Harvest and make purée
In autumn we pick apples, pumpkins and courgettes by hand and harvest beetroot, carrots and potatoes with machinery. We process the crop into purée.

We test new fruit and vegetable varieties in our growing area, studying their quality and suitability for industrial processing and baby food production, including their accumulation of heavy metals and nitrates.

In 2024 a trellised orchard planted in 2020 with high-yield varieties at a spacing of 4 × 1.2 metres entered production.
